ABOUT
South Brisbane Rotary has a long and proud history since its beginning in 1939. Our club continues to serve our community, which has transformed into the bustling cultural center of our city. Our volunteer members unite in a shared determination to work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio. You can find out more about our projects below, or see our recent activity posted on social media.
As Rotarians we strive to embody the motto Service Above Self. Such an ideal is available to anyone, and so our membership draws from people from all walks of life and life stages. We rely on the generational wisdom of long serving members, the business and professional acumen of those in mid-career, and the boundless creativity of young adults. Above all, in serving our community, we are drawn from our community, and so believe that all who are willing are able. Learn more.
Our meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 6:00pm. We have fellowship from 5:30pm and regularly enjoy a meal from 7:00pm. We often have guest speakers aimed towards personal and professional development, as well as from community groups and individuals. If you’d like to learn more about Rotary, attending one of our meetings is a great place to start! Please contact us if you have any questions or are interested in attending an upcoming meeting. You are most welcome.
